Osaka Chapter has an event coming up that you may wish to submit a proposal for (details below). Thanks and talk to you soon, Kevin Cleary Tokyo Chapter Membership Chair ######### OSAKA JALT TECH DAY PLUS ######### Tech Day has been one of Osaka JALT's hallmark events over the past few years, with multiple short, tech-related presentations on a wide variety of topics. Last year we had about 50 people attend, with nine 25-minute presentations, followed by a fabulous dinner at one of the best Italian restaurants in Osaka. Last year's line-up can be seen here: This year we're expanding to include a non-tech room (or rooms) for presentations on a wide variety of non-tech topics. Osaka JALT 5th Annual Tech Day at Hannan University: Tech Day Plus *Date of conference: Sunday, June 21, 1:00 - 5:30 (registration from 12:15) * *Call for presentations deadline: May 22nd (Fri) * The themes of Tech Day are simplicity and practicality - ideas that teachers can use with a minimum of preparation or tech knowledge. This year in addition to our "Tech" presentations that will take place in a fully equipped computer lab (Windows-based - but bring a Mac for presentations if you want!), we're adding a "Plus" stream of non- technical presentations in another room. There will also be a "break- space" for networking or relaxing. Presentation time slots are 25 minutes each, but double time slots may be possible. Please send a bio (50 words) and an abstract (75-100 words) to osakajalt at yahoo.com by May 22nd. *Venue: Hannan University* ### END ### From kcleary at gol.com Wed May 6 10:14:23 2009 From: kcleary at gol.com (kevin cleary) Date: Wed, 6 May 2009 23:14:23 +0900 Subject: [TokyoJALT-announce] Tokyo Chapter Logo Design Message-ID: <20090506141423.646568036@smtp.kamakuranet.ne.jp> Dear members, I'm glad to pass along a message for you from your Tokyo Chapter Publicity Co-Chairs.
